Frequently asked questions

How do the SagaWorks Minis work?

SagaWorks Minis are printable 2D miniatures designed for tabletop RPGs like D&D and similar games. You download the files, print them at home, cut them out, and place them into stand bases.

To use the minis on the table, you’ll need stand bases. We recommend bases with a width of about 2 cm and a slot depth of around 2 mm, which fits the minis perfectly and keeps them stable during play.

No painting, no complicated assembly, and no special equipment required. Just print, cut, slot them into a base, and play. The minis are scaled for standard battle maps and work seamlessly with 1-inch grids.

Are the minis compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, or other tabletop RPGs?

Yes. SagaWorks Minis are designed to work with D&D, Pathfinder, and most other tabletop RPGs and skirmish games that use standard battle maps.

The minis follow common 32 mm scale conventions and fit perfectly on 1-inch grids, making them easy to use across different systems without any adjustments. Whether you’re running a fantasy RPG, a homebrew system, or a one-shot adventure, big tabletop systems the minis integrate seamlessly into your game.

What sizes are the minis?

The 2D minis are designed to match standard tabletop scales. Most humanoid characters are sized for a 35 mm scale, which fits perfectly on typical RPG battle maps with 1-inch grids.

Larger creatures are scaled accordingly, so they feel natural and consistent on the table.

Which paper do you recommend for printing?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

My printer can’t handle thick paper. How can I still make sturdy minis?

No problem at all! Simply print the minis on regular paper and glue them onto thicker cardboard (for example 200–300 gsm). After that, cut them out and attach them to a stand base.

Alternatively, you can laminate the printed minis. This way, you’ll still get durable, table-ready minis - no special printer required.

The images were created with AI, right?

Yes - AI is part of the creative process. However, it’s far from a one-click solution. Every mini goes through multiple prompt iterations, refinements, and adjustments to achieve a consistent style, proper proportions, and tabletop-ready results.

Anyone who has ever prompted images knows the classic challenges - like characters suddenly having four fingers 😉. That’s why the artworks are carefully reviewed and manually refined in graphic design software to fix details, clean edges, and ensure each mini meets our quality standards.

In short: AI helps speed up parts of the process, but a lot of human work, experience, and attention to detail go into every SagaWorks mini.
